ONGOING EVENTS:

Pacific Beach Farmers Market: 2-7 p.m., Tuesdays along Bayard Street off Garnet Avenue.

Original Farmers Market: 8 a.m. to noon, Saturdays at the Promenade at Pacific Beach, 4110 Mission Blvd. Celebrating 30 years!

Let’s Make Art: For ages 4-9, 2:30-3:30 p.m., second and fourth Fridays, Pacific Beach Recreation Center, 1405 Diamond St. Each class features a different style of art. Students create a final project at month’s end. Free. (858) 581-9927, sandiego.gov

5th annual Taste of Mission Beach: 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 17, starts at Mission Beach Coffee Break, 2888 Mission Blvd. and Saska’s Steak & Seafood, 3768 Mission Blvd. Bring appetites and walking shoes to sample the best eateries in town. Sponsored by the Mission Beach Women’s Club and the Mission Beach Town Council. Free shuttles pick you up or drop you off at every bus stop along the route. You can also take a cruise on the Bahia Belle by catching it at either the Catamaran or the Bahia. Tickets $30 per person. Proceeds to PB Street Guardians (pbstreetguardians.org), a non-profit providing transitional employment to homeless residents by hiring them to clean up area streets. San Diego Donut Run: 8 a.m. registration, 9 a.m. 5K Fun Run and the 1-mile Donut Dash, Sunday, May 20 at Crown Point Park in PB. Hosted by Gigi’s Playhouse, created to change the way the world views a Down Syndrome diagnosis. Prizes for Best Costume, Most Team Spirit and Most Funds Raised. Sign up at gigisplayhouse.org

Coast of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk: 4-9 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, self-guided stroll of PB’s eclectic coastal cuisine (25 restaurants). This event will be vegetarian friendly, with restaurants offering a vegetarian option noted on the ticket map. Tickets $25 until May 21 (pacificbeach.org) and $30 the day of. Pick up tickets at the PB Farmer’s Market at the corner of Garnet and Bayard, starting at 3 p.m.
